Insert nut is a product that embeds an insert with internal threads and knurling or other patterns on the outside into plastic or other alloy products (mainly used on plastic products) to form an effective thread on the main product.
Product Types
Special inserts for various thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic parts, suitable for different use requirements, including hot melt, ultrasonic inserts, in-mold injection inserts and cold press inserts.
Cold Press Series
Cold press inserts are suitable for medium or low hardness thermoplastic plastics, and are directly cold pressed into prefabricated plastic holes after the plastic parts are formed. The outstanding advantages of cold press inserts are easy implantation and high efficiency, but the torque and tension performance are sacrificed. Some cold press inserts can also be implanted using ultrasonic or hot melt processes to obtain better torque and tension performance.
Hot melt and ultrasonic series
Hot melt is to heat the product and then press the copper insert into the plastic matrix to make the product quickly heat up and speed up the work efficiency. The heated copper insert can also quickly transfer heat to the plastic part, so that the periphery of the plastic hole becomes soft, so that the product can be quickly pressed into the hole. Because the outer diameter of the insert has an embossing process, after forming, it forms a certain friction and bite force with the copper insert, which can fix it inside and prevent it from falling off. It has a certain torque and tension.
In-mold injection series
In-mold injection inserts are suitable for all plastic materials. Before the plastic is injected, the insert is inserted into the mold pin and fixed before injection. In-mold injection inserts are generally designed with straight grain patterns, so the cost of the insert is relatively lower. Direct molding in the mold can obtain the best torque and tension performance, and allows a smaller wall thickness, but the disadvantage is low efficiency.
Self-tapping series
Self-tapping inserts are suitable for different materials. For plastic materials, they are mainly thermosetting plastics, which can be directly tapped into the plastic hole. Please refer to the screw insert.
Fully automatic nut implantation machine series
The latest insert technology is a three-axis CNC nut implantation machine launched by Shenzhen University CNC for efficient implantation of nut inserts. This equipment uses a servo drive system imported from Japan, and the computer programming control operation is convenient and fast. The CNC machine has high production efficiency and fast production changeover. This machine can be quickly changed over at any time after one debugging. Just find the product program in the corresponding folder and put it into the corresponding mold to use it, which is something that hot melt machines and other machines cannot do now.
Material and use
Material
The materials of the insert nut are brass, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The materials can also be customized according to customer needs.
Use
Insert nuts are widely used in all walks of life, and are commonly used in various plastic shells such as the automotive industry, medical equipment, consumer electronics, mobile phones, and computers.
